Question: What is your favorite CMA memory?
HARDY: [:40] the only one that I’ve ever been to was 2019, that was the first time I got to go and I was invited because I was nominated for Song of the Year with God’s country and we lost. But it was cool. I mean, just the whole experience in general. And, you know, the carpet and just like all the stars are there, it’s. Wow. Like everybody is just there and yeah. It’s just really, really cool. And just being there with Caleigh and and we were like, you know, making fun of people and also like saying how cool was to just walk right by like Loretta Lynn or Randy Travis or Dolly and all these people. It was just the whole experience. So I’ve only been one time, but it was really, really cool experience.
Question: When did you find out you were nominated?
HARDY: [:19] Yeah, when I found out I had a bunch of text and it’s always exciting just to know that you’re appreciated within the music industry and, you know, the way that that nomination thing works as it goes through a big process of people voting on people that they think is the you know, the people that deserve it. And just to know that I’m in that category alone is an honor.
Question: How does it feel to be nominated?
HARDY: [:21] Yeah, it feels it feels amazing. You know, I’m honored, I know I’ve worked really hard for it and so do a lot of people. And for them to narrow that down to only five people, knowing how much of an influx of new artists there are in Nashville right now. I’m truly, really honored. You know, it just feels good to know that people are recognizing the work that you’re putting in. And hopefully we got a shot at taking it home.
