Jake Owen – Advice for Openers

Question: Do you have any advice for openers?
Jake Owen: “Yeah. I mean, I guess the best advice I could give is that just to look forward to their their career and just don’t take everything so seriously. And this exact moment is definitely celebrate the wins, but there’s going to be lots of so-called losses along the way, too. And it’s okay because it’s just a matter of like, I kind of equate it to baseball or something, right? Like you, you step up to the plate each time and you want to hit it out of the park. If you want to hit a home run, that’s the goal of stepping up to the plate. But it’s okay if you strike out as long as you’re swinging for the fences. And that’s kind of how I’ve always been like swing for the fences. If you knock it out of you, if you don’t step back up again, try to knock it out of the park next time.”
