Question: How does it feel to close out your shows with “your place”?
Ashley Cooke: “It’s wild, honestly. You know, I put the song out with my debut album, and I was just kind of going to see what responded. And I always ended my set with my song “Never Til Now” before. And I was like, man, every time we play a set and we have “your place” towards the top of the set, towards the middle, whatever, people lose their minds over it. They just love the song so much and so it was a natural progression to move it towards the end of the set because of how people responded to it in every city across America. Like it was nuts to see. So it’s really special now to be going to radio with it as my brand new single, and already knowing how many people around the country have loved the song and have, you know, screamed it at the top of their lungs at my first headline tour, and it’s really been special.”
