Question: Tell me about your family
Hailey Whitters: “I have a big family. I am the oldest of six. Mom and dad one of nine. My grandpa is one of 15, so I literally had to like bust out the family tree coming home with a boyfriend to make sure we weren’t related. Everybody knew my family. I guess we have quite a reputation. Good and bad, a little bit, but, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I mean, I grew up having more cousins and friends, and there was always something going on. There’s such a beautiful chaos that goes with having a big family.”

Question: Do you have a house update?
Larry Fleet: “Yeah. We actually bought a house and had some land and stuff, and then the permitting and everything kind of got a little weird. So I was lucky enough to be able to sell that house and found one that was actually what I was wanting to build. And, and we got, we got some land with it and stuff and, but yeah, the house I was trying to build was I was like, man, it’s going to be so cool. It’s got everything I want. And then I walk into this other house and I just happened to find it wasn’t even on the market. And they just said, yeah, we’ll sell it to you, walk in. And it was pretty much the exact house I was trying to build. So I bought it. And we love and it feels like home and it’s it’s just the kids love it and we have fun. My dog Melvin the bloodhound, he just runs about and trees, you know, squirrels and stuff all day and hollers around the yard. So I’m sure the neighbors love us, but we we have fell in love with it.”

Question: With all the traveling, any crazy stories about lost bags?
Ashley Cooke: “Actually, yeah. So, I used to be in a deal with my sister when I was younger, and we played this show, this, like, fair festival show when I was, like, probably 13, 14. And it was like a, you know, three connection flight to get there. Very small town. Right. So we get there and our luggage is lost and the show is that night. And so we go to Walmart and grabbed Hannah Montana themed X-large shirts. We wore them like dresses, and we performed on stage in our Hannah Montana shirts, and it was just quite an interesting situation, but I think the crowd loved it. So let’s go.”

Question: You have great style! Who’s your fashion inspiration?
Ashley Cooke: “Thank you so much. Okay, so if I had to choose, like a style icon, I would choose, like Jennifer Aniston or Blake Lively. Like, those two are just pinnacle of, you know, the style that I would love to style it. Also, Blake Styles herself, which I think is really cool.”

Question: Any preshow rituals?
Larry Fleet: “Well, I usually try to give, a pep talk, which turns into some sort of comedy routine. But, we all get a good laugh because we try not to take ourselves too serious. We take the music serious. We want to sound good, but we also want to laugh and smile. And we want people to laugh and smile and and dance and have a good time. So we try to project that and show everybody that we’re having fun. But pre-show, you know, I got daddy, don’t drink on here. I quit drinking probably two years ago, I guess, and a lot of the other guys don’t drink in the band. So we get together and if you watch a lot of people stuff, they’re like, oh, we do a pre-show shot. We do a pre-show shot of Red bull to get us kicked off and go. And because, you know, we’re old and stuff, but it’s, it that’s what we do. We always do a shot of Red bull to really fire us up. And we we go out and just have as much fun as we can have.”
