Question: Do you have a favorite #1 song?
ERNEST: “You know what? I had some help. It’s been really fun. That moment was just so exciting and obviously it didn’t take any time at all to go number one. So there wasn’t like the typical check -in every other few weeks after 15 weeks and seeing where we’re at. It was kind of like song release number one.”

Question: Does Ryman get his style from you or Delaney?
ERENST: “it’s a little bit of both. He has good clothes to pick from. I think he has simple American boy like clothes, like umbro shorts and dirty Nike shirts. But he wears cowboy boots and everything. And I’ve started picking up from him like it was really hot a few weeks ago, and I was wearing khaki shorts and, like, like a breezy shirt. And I was like, Whatever. I’ll throw some cowboy boots on with it. Now I wear cowboy boots with my shorts and shirt for the day. Went with the Ryman swag. But little me, young me was wearing cowboy boots with everything too. He don’t even know that.”

Question: You have a lot of animals at the house right?
ERNEST: “Yeah. Delaney has a ton of and I guess we have a ton of animals because Delaney wants a ton of animals, which is fine by me. It’s a total vibe. We got goats, chickens. She has a huge garden, and she acts like her pride and joy. And she does such a good job with it. We got three cats, two dogs, a three and a half year old myself. A bunch of animals. Fresh eggs all the time. Yeah, Definitely ruined grocery store eggs for me.”

Question: Is there a different writing style with Post Malone?
ERNEST: Yeah, it’s it’s totally different than, than the way we normally write country songs, which which I love..first starts around 7 or 8 p.m. and we will go until the wee hours of the morning and we’ll write a bunch of song ideas or, you know, we might write three whole songs or we might start eight songs and then come back the next day and finish those and start more.
