Question: What do you hope fans take away from “Better That Way”?
Charles Wesley Godwin: “I hope folks really enjoy the second verse is my favorite part of the song when it’s talking about calling my mom because I still can, walking this earth with my head held tall. Those are a couple lines that really connect with me. I hope that puts things in perspective in the moment for fans if you’re listening in your car on your way to work or on your home or on you run or just chilling on the back porch. Just I hope it it brings them back to where their feet are and being happy for the things that they do have in life and being content in the moment. That’s what I hope the song does is that I hope it brings people back to enjoying the moment and just can reinforce that with them as they listen to it.”
