Question: How does it feel to be nominated for New Male Artist?
HARDY: “I am I’m honored to be nominated. You know, people within the industry vote every year on who gets nominated. I don’t know if you’re listening, if you knew that’s how that worked or not, but it is, and I am just constantly honored every time I get nominated for an award, especially in ACM Award. I’m honored to be considered as one of the top four or five new artists new male artists. Because there’s a lot of them right now. Record labels are signing a lot of people. There’s a lot of great new young artists that are coming up, and I’m just very honored to be considered in the pack.”
Question: How does it feel to be nominated for songwriter of the year?
HARDY: “I’m super honored to be nominated for songwriter of the year. Songwriting will always have a special place in my heart because I moved to town to be a songwriter before I decided to sing my own songs. That’s just what I wanted to do was be a songwriter, so I guess you would call it like my first love. So I’m just very, very honored, and I feel very blessed that I have been able to maintain a songwriting career as well as an artist career because I care very much about my songwriting.”
