Question: How is the bus life compared to before?
Lauren Alaina:The bus is definitely different. The bus has been different because before there was Betty, there was me pregnant. But in the last year and a half, the bus life has changed significantly. Now my bus is, we have a crib and diapers and a bottle washer and a bottom warmer and all of the mom things. So we traded in bottles of wine for milk bottles.

Question: The Rascal Flatts tour just ended & you’ve been sining “My Wish”.. How’d did you pick that song?
Lauren Alaina: “They picked it for me. Rascal Flatts asked me to come out and sing my wish with them, which they redid all of their songs and did a new album and they did it with Carly Pearce. So I think that maybe that’s why they asked me to do it, another female in the industry. But this song is literally perfect for being a new mom because I have to believe that a parent wrote that song for their child, had to.”

Question: Give me a life update!
Lauren Alaina: Man, my life has completely changed. I love being a mom so much. It is very busy. I don’t know what I was doing with all of my time before. I keep making that joke because I seem to be doing everything I was doin’ before and have a child. So I was spoiled on time before, but she’s such a joy. She’s the sweetest baby and I love her so much, I’m so, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done.

Question: How excited are you to be back out with Rascal Flatts?
Lauren Alaina: “Very excited to be back out on the road with Rascal Flatts. It’s a lot easier to sing not eight months pregnant, so I’m very thankful for that. But it is, it’s such a great show. They have so many hits. It’s like back to back to to back just hits my childhood, you know, growing up loving country music, listening to their songs. So it’s so cool to be able to be a part of that and be out on a road with them. And we’ve had so much fun with Gary. He’s such hoot. We hang out with him quite a bit, and he’s so sweet with Benny, my daughter, and it’s a blast, we’re having a great time.”

Question: Do you have any rituals?
Lauren Alaina: Yeah, Lord, I’m going to be doing diapers before and after the show. That’s I’m trading, um, shots with the crew for breastfeeding and changing diapers. So that’s going to different. Um, but our rituals before I have a secret handshake with everyone on the road, um and we say a little prayer and then we do like the, you know, where you put your hands in and throw them up, we do a different word or saying every night and then we go out.
