Question: Whats your favorite hunting season?
Larry Fleet: “Duck hunting has always been my thing because our touring season for On the Road is mostly February to, you know, the end of of November really. And so you kind of miss a lot of deer season. You know you miss turkey season a lot but duck season fires up really around, you know, December, January when it starts getting pretty hot. So I got to Arkansas, I got Oklahoma, Tennessee. I mean, I go all over the place and do some duck count with my buddies. And it’s been a cool thing. And again, I think ducks are beautiful and there just there’s something cool about being out there in the water with your buddies and and doing some duck hunting. So this tends to be my favorite thing to do.”

Question: How’s fishing with Waylon?
Larry Fleet: “He’s really good. Like he’s four years old, but he can he can cast it. He can catch fish on his own. I still put the hook on or put the where I’m going to hurt because we don’t need to go to the emergency room and dig a hook out. But he’s really into it. And I am, too. I mean, I love fishing anywhere. I got fishing poles on the bus. If we’re out anywhere. I go fishing.”

Question: What was your first fishing pole?
Larry Fleet: “Charlie Brown and Snoopy. Caught me a catfish on it, but. So ever since I was 3 or 4 years old, I’ve loved fishing and or really just hanging out with my dad and being outside.”

Question: Any beard decor like you have on your hat?
Larry Fleet: “Feathers in the beard. I think, David Allen Coe di that with, beads and feathers, and I’m going to leave it to him. I’ll just leave my on my hat.”

Question: Tell me about your hats
Larry Fleet: “Yeah. So I started out. You know, like, everybody just kind of wore a baseball hat. And that’s what most time you see me around town, that’s what I’m in. But I always like nice hat. I like nice boots. There’s certain things that, you know, get me excited. So. And it’s usually hats and boots. And so as I started out, I wanted to do something that kind of made me stand out a little bit. So I got a hat and it was kind of the flat brim, and that was my style.”
