Question: Why do you love “Thought You Should Know”?
Morgan Wallen: “Hey it’s Morgan Wallen. I love the song. Thought you should know just because it it it honors my mom. And, you know, I always wanted to do something that I accomplish that. And I feel like this song does that in a big way.”
Question: Have you been working on this song idea for a while?
Morgan Wallen: “Yeah. I had already started the song by myself. I don’t remember exactly how how much of the song I’d written, but I’d written a decent amount of it and I brought it in and we were already going to be writing that day. And I wanted to I wanted to get a woman’s perspective for this kind of song. And, you know, those two were, you know, some of the best women’s perspective in music, in my opinion. So I’m I’m really glad they helped me out with it.” *Nicolle Galyon & Miranda Lambert when he says two women*

Question: When did your mom hear “Thought You Should Know” for the first time?
Morgan Wallen: “I sent her the voicemail or the voice note I mean of the day we wrote it because we were me, Miranda and Nicole. We were just we were just writing with guitars. So we didn’t have like we weren’t making demos or anything. We were just doing it with the guitar and I sent her that the voice memo from that day.”

Question: What is “Thought You Should Know” about..
Morgan Wallen: “It’s about my mom. I grew up mama’s boy, so I always wanted to write her song. And this is just the one that I ended up that I ended up putting out the best one, I guess.”
