Announcing the “One Instrument at a Time” program through Morgan Wallen Foundation with Mr. Holland’s Opus. The Foundation has been donating music instruments to local schools in states that the “One Night at a Time Tour” visited, with a combined value of $500K.
Questions 1: What was your inspiration for giving $3 per ticket to the Morgan Wallen Foundation on One Night at A Time Tour? Morgan Wallen: “We started donated $3 of every ticket back when we announced the Dangerous Tour. It was important to me to personally give back to organizations that help kids get access to music and sports is proof that it can change your life. Truth is, I never dreamt we’d be able to help as many people as we have in such a short period of time. I love hearing their stories and I hope we can keep hearing them for years to come.”
Question 2: Talk about how important it is to you to have the foundation impact all the markets you toured in on One Night at A Time Tour. Morgan Wallen: “Yeah, when we go into different areas to play shows, we are always welcomed with open arms. Fans and locals are incredible to us, so we wanted to give back and leave something behind as a thank you to all those great people. So we partner with Mr. Holland’s Opus to help supply music instruments to teachers and students at local schools in the states we taught in. I hope to see the next year find our love for music like I do.”
Question: Can you tell me about “Love Somebody”? Morgan Wallen: Yeah, Love Somebody. My new single is a little bit of a different approach lyrically and sonically. I wanted to try something different just as what I wanted to talk about and also with how I want it to sound. And we kind of came up with the Latin leaning type of thing. And and it also is almost like a sister recording to the Neon Moon that I did with with Broken Dunn. We recorded those two songs on the same day, so you’ll probably hear some similarities with those two. But yeah, man, I’m really excited about this song and really pumped that it’s out.”
Question: What’s your fashion inso? Morgan Wallen: “I don’t know that I’ve ever given any advice on fashion. I’m probably not that guy. But it is it is interesting to see that people, you know, care about what I’m what I’m wearing and what I’m doing and how I’ve cut my hair. And I never would have thought that that would be that would be a thing.”
Question: You’ve collaborated with Thomas Rhett, Eric Church, ERNEST and so many more. Any other artists you think would be cool or different to work with? Morgan Wallen: Yeah, for sure. I’ve always wanted to do a song with Miley Cyrus. That’s. That remains the same. I would like to do a song with War on Drugs. The War on Drugs. Just I’m such a huge fan of their music, and I think it would be, you know, a collab nobody expected. I have no idea what to expect about it. I don’t know what we’d make it sound like. I have no clue. But I’m interested.
Question: Any songs you really look forward to performing or favorite song on album? Morgan Wallen: “you know, I’ve got this whole new dirt rock thing that I’m doing, and, I mean, there’s like 5 or 6 songs. So, one of them, I’d say, “me and all your reasons”, I really, I really love the music on that song. That’s that’s one of, if not my favorite, track on the album.”
