Question: How do you remember new lyrics? Like while driving down the road?
Stephen Wilson Jr.: “Yeah, I just, I can memorize it pretty well. It’s always been one of my little, I guess if I have any things that I’m inclined or better at doing than others, it’s memorizing things. And so yeah, I would just kind of say it over and over again in the lines. I try to stay out of the way of it. The lines kind of show up if I’m doing it right. And, but yeah, you do gotta remember them, so. That if there is any skill, there’s that. And then, yeah, I use voice memo, and I just will say the whole thing. Half the time, I’ll start singing it. I did start singing. So whatever key I sing it in in the car is the key I pick for the guitar that I probably start writing the music around. But it all starts with the lyrics first.”
